Dementia is a term for several diseases that affect memory, thinking, and the ability to perform daily activities. Symptoms include confusion, memory loss, and difficulty with everyday tasks. As the disease progresses, individuals will need an increasing amount of help with basic tasks in their daily lives. Caregivers of people with dementia often experience a significant emotional toll, and the disease can strain work, finances, and family relationships.
Through my journey working with dementia patients, I’ve seen the lack of care and support for caregivers. I am committed to offering caregivers resources, strategies, and emotional support to manage the challenging role of meeting the unique needs of their loved ones as they navigate the stages and challenges of dementia.
